Quaker Breakfast Cookies Oatmeal Chocolate Chip, 6-Count Boxes (Pack of 6)

I was shocked to read the nutritional facts on this product. Each 1.69oz cookie has 180 calories, 50 of them from fat! 6 grams total fat and 2 of those are saturated fat. Add to that 5 mg of cholesterol AND the 190 mg of sodium. Whatever benefit one might get from the whole grain oats seems diminished by the rest of the ingredients.

Yes, the price was good and they taste OK but certainly not what I was hoping for when I saw “baked, made with whole grain oats, good source of fiber, and 0g transfat”. These are not for the health conscious.

I have a sweet tooth the size of an island, so I have to go for “not as bad” rather than healthy and this fits the bill perfectly! Great tasting and this price is cheaper than I can find in my local grocery store.

I got these for my son because he just loves them. Great for a quick on the go breakfast.

I realize some will take issue with “the fat” in these amazingly tasty — and stocked with vitamins — treats, but let those naysayers just shut their yaps. These cookies are not only nutritious, the fat is NOT bad fat. I would bet that the reviewer who would write to complain of the “fat calories” in these cookies, doesn’t get how important good fats are to the diet. Fats are vastly under-rated in our slenderness-obsessed but totally obese American society. Hey, think there MIGHT BE a link there??

For those who just want something tasty that works well pre-workout and post (esp. when spread with my favorite: peanut butter, almond butter, Nutella, etc., then get these! Life’s short — LIVE and work OUT!

These are the most delicious oatmeal chocolate chip cookies!! They come in microwave safe packages. Open the cookie wrapper and stick in the microwave for 10 seconds and it tastes like a freshly baked cookie. Be careful, at 180 calories per cookie – an average calorie count, you could eat too many at one sitting. I use this as a reward or breakfast.
