I have one. Only 1 / 2 pint at a time. They can be frozen and only 1 / 2 pint again, without any further 5 hours. The ice cream you get from it is soft and melted 1 / 2. It takes a long time to sit and wait to remove it.

I had one of these a few years ago and decided to sell it at the flea market. Have said earlier, you can use the container to keep in the freezer and into ice whenever you want. However, I realized that I will rarely be present, and turn the crank by hand, so for many minutes. Several options are much better. Cuisinart came with a unit of electrical power. KitchenAid and makes an accessory for your stand blends. I have the Cuisinart dual-cup model. We are totally with it joy and no pain in his arms!

I do not have to use hands to the manual ice cream maker. If I add an ingredient – think chocolate chips – I'm not fast enough to secure the lid, add the ingredients, get the lid back on and again, before everything started to freeze too hard to handle. I do not like noisy appliances. I have a manual coffee grinder and a manual mill. Both work well (and gives me a work out). The hand crank ice cream maker is frustrating. I wish I could get the electric ice cream maker. It would not be dusty.

This is great, no ice or salt, and do not work fast. We love this thing

Although not as easy as it sounds, and consumes more time than expected quality of the finished product is very good, so I give it 4 stars.
