I agree with others that this item should have been included. Who wouldn’t want to use this item? Why have to buy it separately?
The way it sits itself on the grill plate, it’s very very awkward to lift up the grate with the grill rack with meat on it.
The provided grate lifting prong tool lifts the grill plate and the grill rack at the same time.
The lift tool keeps both together ok, but the grill plate falls away somewhat, and it gets a bit unwieldy with meat on the rack.
Solution? Cut a wooden skewer into 4 short lengths and insert those into the 4 U-shaped rack feet that protrude below the grill plate surface holes.
Doing so, the 2 pronged lifting tool lifts both the grate and the grill rack off the Cobb grill without them separating.
This is especially helpful (almost necessary) if you have a good sized hunk of meat on the grill rack and you want to refresh the coals.

This is a great product and cooks real well. The only drawback is the cleaning portion. Other than that it is a very versitile unit and have used it several times with great results

Unfortunately for owners of the COBB grill, this rack is necessary, yet not a part of the original package. To have to pay for it (and shipping) separately is somewhat irritating.

What can I say. It does what it says it will do and does it well. I did find the instructions a bit confusing at first; my son figured them out.
