I am not a professional reviewer but I know what I like. I think it is sad when our expectations are so low that we think a cake decorating disaster book is good reading. I guess if you are into Beavis and Butthead or some other low brow humor, you will think it is ok to laugh at juvenile disasters and cakes with sexual innunendo humor. Considering what you see on their blog, it would be cheaper to read that since it is free. My opinion and I am sticking with it.

I’m one of those people that can watch a hilarious television show or read a funny book, and usually smile, or maybe emit the occasional giggle, but not usually much more. Don’t get me wrong–I appreciate the comedy, but usually express it pretty quietly. That is, until yesterday. Yesterday I received my Cake Wrecks book in the mail. I spent the rest of the day giggling over the hilariousness that is this book. When my husband came home, I was showing him some of my favorite pictures, along with Jen’s witty commentary. I erupted into such laughter that my two-and-a-half-year-old thought that something was wrong with me.
“Mommy, you crying?”
“No, honey, *snicker* Mommy is just laughing *wiping my eyes* at her new book.”
*Getting a tissue for me and clearly thinking something is wrong* “No Mommy, you crying. Here’s a kleenex. Is that better now?”
This book really is a treat, and I highly recommend it. Honestly, you can’t help but smile with this book in your house!

I came across this in a bookstore and after just a few pages was laughing so hard that I had to sit down and read the whole book – wiping away tears while looking at the explosive dinosaur poo cakes. I’m giving this book as a gift for a professional cake-baker friend (who does immaculate work and who enjoys [...]). In fact, it would be a great gift to anyone who enjoys cakes, grammatical errors, unfortunate spellings, wedding roadkill disasters, snarky humor, and, of course, dinosaur poo.
